 Hello! I'm Alta (Altynai Yespembetova), a licensed private English speaking guide in Almaty. My general education is Human Geography, with Bachelor degree from Kazakh State National University, MA degree from Indiana University, USA (2005). My US thesis was devoted to Tourism Development in Kazakhstan: http://www.iucat.iu.edu/iub/6290877 .

My general occupation is teaching sustainable development, geography, research methods at the university, where the educational language is English.

So far I gave tours to over 80 tourists from the USA, the UK, Austria, Australia, Italy, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Estonia, Sweden, Canada, etc. and became a number one Viator tour guide in Almaty. Most of the reviews can be found on the following page (reviews)!

 I have extensive knowledge about urban development of the city, its history, physical geography, environment, economy, politics and cultural variety. I'm an open hearted person, have great communitation skills, local to Almaty since my birth, and keep thinking still, inspite of many international travels I've made, that Almaty is the best city in the world ))) In terms of cultural experience, you will be introduced to Kazakh environment.
